These boots are like new with minimal show of wear. They were only worn once for a 3 mile  hike and were too small so I got an 12.5 and love them. I figured they would stretch a bit like Salomon or Merrill but the plastic toe cap is solid and won’t give. I have to say the run slightly small for my big feet. They are higher than most mid  boots and give excellent ankle support with a medium loaded pack say 35 pounds. Comfortable ankle padding and good solid comfort over all. A bit heavier than the lighter casual hiker but at the benefit of keeping knees and ankles out of the orthopedic clinic.  From Non smoking no pet home. They do not have any odors other than boot.
